Cool Greek Whipped Topping

When I stumbled upon this idea a few weeks ago, I felt like the person who created the delicious mixture of chocolate and peanut butter.

I love whipped cream. Always have. My pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving is always fully loaded. I enjoy a dollop on hot chocolate as an occasional cold weather treat. When I was little, I remember taking the Cool Whip bucket, adding chocolate syrup and eating it all by itself. Don’t judge me… as if you’ve never indulged in a nutritional vacuum. I’m thinking any fried Fair food.

This wonderfully creamy invention (providing calcium, probiotics, and protein to name just a few benefits) gives me permission to enjoy one of my favorite toppings more often and it only takes seconds to make. Enjoy and may it give you that sense of sweet goodness again without all the bad!

Cool Greek Whipped Topping

1/4 cup 0% Greek Yogurt (I use Fage)

1/4 cup Cool Whip Lite (substitute truwhip/skinny truwhip if you are avoiding all HFCS and hydrogenated oils*)

  1. Measure out both ingredients into a bowl and stir to mix. Done. (Drop the mic!)

Place a spoonful on a slice of pie or french toast and pancakes topped with fresh berries. Add a little vanilla bean paste, flavored extract, and/or cinnamon and spices to give it some personal flair.

Makes 2 servings.

*Adds a few extra calories in the form of sugar and fat from all natural, non-GMO sources.
