Flashback Friday: A Trip to the Dynasty

Today as I remember a unique opportunity that our family had to meet the Duck Dynasty gang, I am filled with gratitude and the knowledge that God is always working behind the scenes to bring about His good plans for us. That experience was just one example of how He works. He moved through His people to shift our visit from an informal meeting with a few of the family members to a grand tour of the shop, special time with the whole family in their environment, and a behind the scenes viewing of the recording of one of the closing dinner scenes. It was more than we could have asked or imagined. I am so grateful we got to share that special opportunity together before Bill got really sick again. It was an immense blessing to him and the whole family.

If you have experienced tragedy I can’t explain it away, but I can offer hope and truth today. God loves you and He has fully forgiven and accepted you eternally in Jesus! Your Father is moving in areas that you can’t see or know about and His plans have eternal value. This world is just a breath. Enjoy the wonderful things God brings your way and trust Him to work out all the other things for good. It may seem hard to see that right now, but it is truth and whether you feel like it or not, Truth is the one thing needed.

We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all. (Isaiah 53:6 NASB)

When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

(John 19:30 ESV)
