To give God at least 15 minutes of your morning.
One way to allot your time could be to praise for 5 minutes, read Scripture for 5 minutes, and pray for 5 minutes. Another would be to watch a short Gospel teaching on YouTube first thing and then talk to God about it as you get ready. Perhaps you start your day by working out, like I often do, and want to incorporate Jesus into that time. People who give God the beginning of their day, tend to roll with the punches better throughout their day. When you take time to acknowledge Him in the morning and make Him your priority, you have eyes to see Him working in your day and ears to hear Him directing you throughout your day. In a nutshell, it is vital for health helping to set your heart for the day in expectation of good. He is always the best choice you will make and promises blessing with that decision.
“Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” (Deuteronomy 30:19-20 NLT)
The Lord GOD has given Me the tongue of disciples, That I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple. (Isaiah 50:4 NASB)
In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch. (Psalm 5:3 NASB)
But I will sing of your strength; I will sing aloud of your steadfast love in the morning. For you have been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress. (Psalm 59:16 ESV)
